Founded in 2014, Stargazer Films is a premier independent entertainment company focused on the development and production of theatrical and television feature films produced entirely on location in the United States. The Company is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky and a division of Wyoming-based Stargazer Corp., a privately-held American mass media company whose operating divisions include: feature films, episodic series, news, music, production equipment rentals, post-production services, and content distribution.
THE ORIGIN STORY
Founded in early 2014, Stargazer Films, LLC specialized in the development and production of both theatrical feature films and television movies. In 2017, the Company completed a merger by consolidation with Titan Releasing, Inc. which specialized in content distribution and film financing and rebranded as Stargazer Films USA, Inc. After successful integration and strong growth in the film business, including the launch of a production equipment rental and post-production services division, in 2019 the company launched three new divisions focused on series, news, and music. Rebranded as Stargazer Corporation, the transition to diversifying as a mass media company has allowed Stargazer to leverage its expertise in the Company's core film business for continued growth and expansion in the news and entertainment industry.
Co-Founder and Executive Chairman
Zach is a native of Los Angeles that grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Fern Creek High School, attended University of Mississippi, University of Louisville, and graduated from the Marion Military Institute in Alabama, where he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army and served in the Signal Corps as a communications officer. He started his career in the private sector as a business manager and technical advisor at a regional telecommunications company based in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1997, Zach moved to Los Angeles where he became a business consultant focused on mergers and acquisitions of both public and private companies. Later, he joined another firm focused on facilitating public listings of foreign companies on US exchanges and foreign acquisitions of US companies.
In 2009, after relocating to New York City, he began consulting with independent producers on financing and distribution opportunities and eventually transitioned into Producing feature films and launched a sales agency and distributor. He has developed, produced and distributed many feature films, with a focus on creating high quality content both efficiently and profitably.
In April 2014, Zach returned to Los Angeles and co-founded Stargazer Films with Shane O'Brien.
Zach is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Producers Peer Group in the Television Academy.
Co-Founder & President
Shane is a native of Tennessee and graduated from East Tennessee State University with a BS in Broadcasting and completed graduate studies in Film at the University of Memphis. In 1997, he began his career in Los Angeles as an assistant at the entertainment law firm Kleinberg, Lopez, Lange, Brisbin & Cuddy focused on content and music licensing. He later joined the Programming department at Disney Channel and went on to work in Original Content Development at Warner Bros. Online, the Current Series Programming department at the NBC network, the Bravo cable network, helped launch NBCUniversal’s Emerging Networks group, re-branding Bravo HD as Universal HD and launching and managing the new cable networks Chiller, focused on horror, and Sleuth (later Cloo), focused on mysteries and crime investigation.
In 2009, he transitioned to Chiller full time, moving to New York City to head the Chiller Programming department under Syfy channel. While at Chiller, Shane oversaw scheduling, acquisitions, and originals, as well as launching the Chiller Films theatrical division where he was in charge of development, production, and distribution.
In April 2014 Shane left NBCUniversal to become an independent producer and co-founded Stargazer Films.
Shane is a member of the Producers Peer Group in The Television Academy and has executive produced films premiering at South By Southwest, Fantastic Fest and Slamdance.
Anthony Del Negro
Director of Development and Talent Relations
Anthony is a native of New York City and New Jersey that graduated Summa Cum Laude from Seton Hall University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Public Relations and Journalism. A proud member of the Screen Actors’ Guild since the age of 12, Anthony has appeared in many feature films. Prior work experience includes assisting at Brookside Artist Management and providing script coverage for EuropaCorp. His many years of acting experience have led him to build key relationships with casting directors, producers, writers, directors and other actors. Anthony leverages his writing and journalism training to develop targeted content for distributors and extensive industry contacts to cast productions.
